I had three small open-weight models on my laptop write 1,199 short Python scripts, and checked every pip install they asked for against PyPI. 212 of 1,410 install suggestions (15.0%) named packages that nobody has ever published. On obscure tasks it was 30.0%. Then I wiped everything and ran the whole study again from scratch. 161 of the 162 ghost names came back, and not one new ghost appeared. So I trained…
